Filigree is one of the oldest handicrafts in the world. It is a delicate kind of jewelry metalwork which also means silver wire embroidery made with tiny beads and/or twisted threads soldered together and arranged in artistic motifs.
Originated in Mesopotamia, specific to the city of Midyat in Mardin province, expert craftsmen produce the perfect examples of filigree known as ‘telkari’ since 15th century.
Artisan Breeze has three different collections in filigree. One of them is traditional collection which contains one of a kind ultra detailed pieces by the talented hands of Midyat artisans.
Second one is StudioSu Design collection which combines classic filigree pieces with natural stones. They are modern, unique and timeless.
Third one is Luna Merdin collection as their own words ; Luna, the Goddess of the Moon, and Merdin, the city of fortresses’, have come together to introduce Mardin’s unique traditional silver handicraft to you.
